Highschool students are anxiously looking forward to getting their drivers’ licence, and implica-T! will be there for them to help them make responsible use of it.

Why? Because implica-T! sets out to provide support for those who were affected by road crashes.

This support may mean psychological or legal counselling, it may mean material support or simply moral support. Only together may we raise this support.

Also, we wish to stimulate a better response from authorities. We need to know what reactions you had following the crash, or what support. Was there a trial? How did it go? How did it end? What are the consequences on those affected? May we be of help in the actions you are taking? Can you provide other people going through similar situations advice and direction?

We can learn from one another and help each other make it through difficult situations.

I did not have the opportunity to find out which organisation was delivering them, and they were probably focusing on first-aid in case of drowning.

But I don’t see why the same thing could not be done here, for road crash cases.

I admit I do make mistakes, but the other drivers are as careless and mean as can be and make far bigger mistakes than I do.

Here are my mistakes:

However, I doubt these compare to:

• The fact that some people do not signal switching lanes and just move in front of you out of the blue. I avoided many crashes until now and even I looked after them. It seems weird though that a beginner should protect the “veterans”
• The fact that they go ahead on the streets where they have the stop sign or no priority, as if they have priority - today I once again avoided an crash
• The fact that they switch from lane 3 to lane 1 straight away, cutting you off
• The fact that they honk in second 0,1 after green light
• The fact that they drive on the contrary direction lane
• The fact that they are in great rush. Attention! The most dangerous ones are taxi drivers. They are always in a rush and they never look
• The fact that trophy wives, in fancy cars obviously, when turning left or right, never look and also talk on their cell. I found two of these specimens.

As my adventure in Bucharest traffic jungle continues - for I am sure it will continue - I will write more of what happens.

Logo colours - white, black and red - are the colours of road traffic signs. The open palm represents both the openness we must show, and more importantly, the involvement, the helpful hand we may offer and the power we exert our our life and those of others in traffic, whatever role we assume in traffic.

We are working hard to prepare the schools campaign and our debut as partner of the international road safety organisations. Therefore, Alina and Laura are now preparing the English version of our blog.

Also, most employers are prepared to release the fiscal charts. You may, then, request them from your employer and submit them (personally or via mail), together with  due forms , to the Fiscal Authorities.

implica-T!

We met a little better, we explained how and why we decided to be involved-T!. We talked a little about our identity, what makes us to be involved and special and what we want from implica-T!.

We are still at the beginning, and many issues are currently in delineation; the only thing that it is clear and non-negotiable is the principle from which we started – namely generate sustainable change through positive involvement. Thus, the effects will be beneficial for both sides: both for those involved-T!, which is dedicated to education and awareness of road, and for those who will benefit of our work. We don’t seek shock strategies, we are aware that big things are created in time. Our work is not a sacrifice, but involvement of enthusiasm and consideration for others.

We talked about our initiative to have a type of awareness campaign for children (”ora de dirigentie”) in schools. Nicoleta brought a project that we discussed together. Starting from this initiative, we thought to involve known figures in our campaigns, and we opened a public list of people who might be involved-T! and could give a positive example.

It was questioned the change of legislation, which we see too permissive towards those who do not respect the rules. Dan told us about a similar initiative at the level of central authorities, which we’ll learn more about, and which we’ll join if represents us. If not, we count on the Constitution, and we are determined to gather the 100,000 signatures required. Sure, there will be work, and we’re counting on the support of Alex to propose a viable project in place of the current one, and on the support of Smaranda, who since the foundation was very energetic and successful.

Dan asked us to support the Road Safety Month in May. We all saw it as a very interesting opportunity, and decided to support it in implica-T! style.

So, the period after Easter is to be a very crowded one, so we are very involved T!  in preparation of materials and concrete ideas. Till the next implica-T! meeting, inspiration and more progress!
