In Thessaloniki, close to the statue of Aristotle, first-aid demonstrations were being delivered.
I did not have the opportunity to find out which organisation was delivering them, and they were probably focusing on first-aid in case of drowning.
But I don’t see why the same thing could not be done here, for road crash cases.
What do you think?

What is the use of all that horse power if there’s a donkey driving?

It has happened to me last week, On Easter, one incident that shocked me.
I was at traffic lights at Unirii, sitting in the car with my sister and her boyfriend, when suddenly I heard behind me a bang and a jolt. Standing still at the red light I was not thinking that this may be an “accident”. I got off the car; behind me a guy about 40 years with a 4 X 4 car having with him his children and wife in the car, “thump” me. It wasn’t something very bad, you can imagine, if I didn’t even realize what had happened.
I asked him what happened and he answered to me very relaxed that he thumped me but “there is nothing too bad”. Meanwhile the green light appeared. I told him to pull over to see what the damages are, then I would say to him if it is a problem that he is sleeping while driving.
Guess what his answer was… ”You are a peasant, don’t u see the car that I have and I am still not complaining?” Move away from here or I will beat you in 2 min… “Pfff, I was shocked by his attitude taking into consideration that HE was the one who “forgot” to press the brake. His children were with him in the car as well however he didn’t mind his dirty language. I was with a car from the company – Logan. The boyfriend of my sister got mad when he saw the guy’s attitude, he got down from the car and kicked the guy in the ass.
I was shocked because usually I avoid conflict at any price but frankly it made me feel better after being thumped and verbally harassed. Behind us with another car were some other other friends of mine (we were all going to a coffee). What do you think? The guy’s attitude changed out of the sudden.
His face turned yellow, he apologized, and he ran 20 minutes to find a place for making a copy of the insurance.
The conclusion would be as it follows: this incident could happen, maybe he did not appreciate the distance between our vehicles too well, and maybe he was distracted or in a bad mood but nothing justifies his attitude. He believed the world is on his feet having a car that costs maximum 15.000-17.000 euro ….
I do not want to imagine what he would have done if he had a Ferrari or a Lamborghini…
